What's at Stake:

Every day, we’re doing something important---providing skilled nursing care to those in need across Florida. The quality of that care, thanks to funding from Florida's legislature, is better than it was in the past.

Since 2001, when the legislature passed a law requiring more skilled nursing and staffing requirements, nursing home quality has steadily improved. More importantly, the Florida legislature has provided the funding for these critical efforts.

But because of possible budget cuts, skilled nursing care--- that so many residents and their loved ones have come to appreciate and need---is in jeopardy.

We’ve kept our promise to improve the quality of care. Now we need the politicians to keep their promise, and fully support nursing homes’ ability to provide top quality care.
